Sponge rock #2 (perlite) Small

Coarse #2 sponge rock (perlite) is a naturally occurring volcanic glass that has been heated to a high temperature, causing it to expand and become incredibly lightweight. Its unique structure allows it to hold air and moisture, making it a highly effective soil amendment for indoor tropical plant soils.

By adding coarse #2 perlite to your soil mix, you can improve aeration and drainage, which can help prevent root rot and other common plant problems. The result is a healthier, more vibrant indoor garden that will flourish and thrive.

It is also an excellent medium by itself for starting plant cuttings.   It retains moisture in all the little holes, but has incredible drainage as well.  

The size "coarse" is smaller than #3 sponge rock and not recommended as an additive to orchid soils (too small).
