New Zealand Sphagnum Moss Orchid Potting Mix

The finest long strand AAA+ premium New Zealand sphagnum moss with #4 medium size sponge rock make up the perfect potting mix for Phalaenopsis, and other orchids.   The moss is soft and super moisture retentive, which is great for the home grower as our homes tend to be low in humidity, and the sponge rock adds necessary aeration and insures that the moss does not compact over time.

We now offer two sizes.  A gallon size, which will fill about 3 5" pots, and an individual size, which is enough for one 5" pot (with a little left over) for those that have a small collection, or just one plant that needs repotting.   This mix is perfect to use with our new 5.5" clear mesh pot.

I just repotted an orchid today, and I can already tell it's happier!  Moisten the mix prior to using, and always wear a face covering and protective clothing/gloves when working with any orchid potting mix.
