Grow happy and healthy Ludisia, Macodes, Anoectodes, Dossisia and Ludochilus orchids with our carefully crafted Jewel Orchid Potting Mix. Specially designed to meet the unique needs of these stunning orchids, this premium blend ensures optimal growth, and vibrant foliage.

Ingredients:

• Fine Orchiata Bark: Sustainably sourced from New Zealand, this high-quality pine bark offers excellent drainage and aeration, preventing root rot and promoting healthy root development.
• New Zealand Sphagnum Moss Petals: Renowned for its superior water retention and antibacterial properties, this moss keeps the substrate moist while reducing the risk of fungal infections.
• Coarse Perlite: Enhances aeration and drainage, ensuring that roots receive the oxygen they need while preventing waterlogging and compaction of the soil mix.
• Leaf Hummus: Rich in organic matter and essential nutrients, leaf hummus improves soil fertility, promotes healthy microbial activity, and enhances the overall structure of the mix.
• ProMix: A professional-grade blend that provides a balanced mix of nutrients and moisture retention, supporting vigorous growth and lush foliage.
• Coconut Coir: A sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to peat moss, ground coir retains moisture efficiently while providing excellent drainage.

How to use:

1. Preparation: Choose a well-ventilated pot with drainage holes to ensure excess water can escape.
2. Potting: Gently remove your Jewel orchid from its current pot, shaking off any old soil. Place a layer of our Terrestrial Potting Mix at the bottom of the new pot.
3. Planting: Position the orchid in the center of the pot and fill in around the roots with more mix, ensuring the base of the plant sits just below the pot's rim. Press the mix gently to secure the plant.
4. Watering: Water thoroughly after potting, allowing excess water to drain away. Adjust watering frequency based on the ambient humidity and temperature, keeping the mix moist but not soggy.  

Our mini bag fill five of our 3" round rimless or ultra clear round pots,  two plus of our 4" clear textured bulb pan,  and one of our 7" clear textured shallow bulb pans.  The latter two bulb pans being perfect for Jewel Orchids, which like to spread out in their pot.
