Orchiata #5A Power + is an all around "medium" grade orchid fir bark potting medium with pieces roughly 3/4" (12-18mm) in size.   It's from Pinus radiata grown in New Zealand and is a superior medium for many orchids. I use it for dendrobium, cattleya, encyclia, and epidendrum.   Orchiata is very long lasting and does not break down quickly like traditional sequoia fir bark can.  It also needs no pre-wetting or mixing with other ingredients to use.  Straight from the bag to the pot.

While I am an orchid "newbie" I would like to give my plants the best chance of survival! Stefanie gave me excellent advice to help with my "ill" plants and I look forward to watching them grow. I love how this bark allows light in and moisture out to keep my orchid roots happy and healthy!
